The last day to apply for the AMA Foundation Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship for medical students is Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
The AASM Foundation is funding four $10,000 scholarships to U.S. medical students through the American Medical Association Foundation (AMAF) Physicians of Tomorrow program. The scholarship is awarded to academically excellent medical students in financial need who have demonstrated an interest in pursuing a career in sleep medicine.
We are proud to continue our partnership with the AMAF because the organization has had a long-standing tradition of supporting medical students. Since 1950, the AMAF has awarded more than $61 million in scholarships. The Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarships for medical students includes 12 categories and a variety of focus areas, including serving those underrepresented in medicine. All students may apply for the Physicians of Tomorrow scholarships, regardless of AMA membership status.
For 25 years, the AASM Foundation has been championing a bright future in sleep health. We believe in the importance of collaborating with groups including the CHEST Foundation and AMAF by working together to encourage more individuals to pursue careers sleep medicine, research and education.
