GOALS FOR 2026/2027:

    1. Review assigned applications and provide a score and structured critique specific for applications.
    2. Attend and actively participate in grant review committee conference calls. 
    3. Submit timely final critiques and scores to the Executive Committee to make final funding decisions and ensure applicants receive funding notifications promptly. 

MANDATE

The Awards and Scholarships Review Committee evaluates the quality of applications for the AMA Sleep Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship, Sleep Champion Award, SLEEP Travel Grant for AASM Patient Advocacy Roundtable, SLEEP Travel Grant for Medical Students and Residents, SLEEP Travel Grant for Sleep Technologists and Advanced Practice Providers, and SRS and AASM Foundation Dependent Care and Accessibility Grant. The committee provides application critiques, summaries, and scores to the Executive Committee or Board of Directors to make final funding decisions.

The Career Development Grants Review Committee evaluates the scientific quality and potential impact of applications for the following grants: Bridge to Success Grant for Early Career Investigators, Bridge to Success Grant for Mid-Career / Senior Investigators, Diversity Supplement Grant, Focused Projects Grant for Junior Investigators, and Physician Scientist Training Grant. The committee provides grant application critiques, summaries, and scores to the Executive Committee or Board of Directors to make final funding decisions.
