The AASM celebrated Employee Appreciation Day on Friday, March 1, with special activities during an extended lunch with carnival games, cotton candy and a pie throwing contest!
AASM staff purchased tickets to throw pies at senior staff including Executive Director, Steve Van Hout. AASM Foundation President, Dr. Jennifer Martin, was so excited about this fundraising effort that she offered to match all proceeds from pie throwing dollar for dollar.
Thanks to Dr. Martin’s challenge, several staff purchased the special upgrades to directly tip the pies onto the faces of their colleagues. After 51 pies were thrown, the AASM Foundation raised nearly $800. (Thanks to the AASM for donating the pies and supplies for the event, in addition to Dr. Martin’s generous donation.)
