Dear Young Investigators Research Forum 2020 attendees and faculty,

The AASM Foundation has been closely monitoring the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and its implications on travel and public health. Because the health and well-being of our trainees, faculty, speakers, and staff are of utmost importance, we have decided to cancel the Young Investigators Research Forum 2020, which was scheduled to be held in Bethesda, Maryland on April 1-3. The numerous domestic travel restrictions imposed by various academic institutions and healthcare systems, and the hands-on experience that the research forum requires, were also taken into consideration when making this difficult decision.

In the meantime, we are exploring options for hosting the Young Investigators Research Forum 2020 later this year and will reach out to you as soon as new information is available.

AASM Foundation staff will start the process of canceling your travel arrangements booked through our Egencia corporate account; no action from you is needed.

On behalf of the AASM Foundation leadership and the Young Investigators Research Forum 2020 planning team, we thank you for your understanding and encourage everyone to take the precautions necessary to stay safe and healthy. As always, please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
