What We Do
BUILD PATHWAYS FOR OPTIMIZING SLEEP HEALTH
Highly qualified investigators, community leaders, and clinicians need additional resources and funding to evolve patient care and increase sleep health awareness. The critical shortage of clinicians and researchers entering the field of sleep medicine creates additional challenges to developing solutions for the problems caused by sleep and circadian disorders. The AASM Foundation is the leading organization addressing these challenges with programs that directly support career development, high-impact research, clinical training and community programs.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine Foundation programs fund strategic research projects by leading sleep scientists, grassroot efforts to improve sleep health in the community and training for the next generation of sleep providers and researchers. The discoveries that result lay the groundwork for improvements in medical care for people who have a sleep disorder and increase public sleep health awareness for Healthier lives through better sleep.
