
R. Nisha Aurora, MD, MHS

Dr. Aurora is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. Clinically, she is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing. Her research interests include examining cardiometabolic outcomes in sleep-disordered breathing with a focus on sex-specific differences.
Dr. Aurora has served on the AASM Foundation Board of Directors since June 2017, has been a member of the Executive Committee since June 2020, and is the 2022-2023 AASM Foundation President-elect. She also serves on the AASM Board of Directors, as Chair for the AASM Guidelines Advisory Panel, and as an Associate Editor for the JCSM Editorial Board.
